Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in KS2. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with children between the ages of 7-11 in a classroom setting.
  • Provide support to teachers and other personnel within the setting.
  • Help implement daily routines and support children who require 1:1 support.
  • Assist pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and provide additional support as needed.
  • Work full/part time hours which can vary between 8-4pm.

Requirements:

  • Desirable but not Essential:
  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
  • Any Level 3 based qualification within the education sector.
  • Level 2 Award in Support Work.
  • Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Previous teaching assistant experience with children.
  • Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in Phonics, supporting children to read and write.
