Childcare Solicitor Specialist

We are working with a Local Authority in the Greater Manchester Region to find a skilled Childcare Solicitor to join their team on an interim basis.
The ideal candidate will be a UK-qualified solicitor with over 12 months' experience in Childcare Law matters, including advocacy before Courts. They will have expertise in dealing with a wide range of matters, including:
- Courts and tribunals, including CMC's, IRH's, PLO's, and Directions Hearings
- Handling a personal portfolio of childcare cases
- Representing the Council in legal proceedings concerning children in the Family Court
- Matters including Public Law, Care Proceedings, Adoption, Child Protection, Fostering
- Advising, negotiating, and drafting legal documents to the decisions of the Client Directorate and the Council
The council offers a hybrid working environment, and this is a full-time position. The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible, with a preference for someone available to start within two weeks. Previous childcare legal experience is essential.
