**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Peterborough. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils, particularly those with special needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Supervise and provide support to pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans, and assist with the display of pupils' work.
  • Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals and targets appropriate to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience of working in an education setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Two references.
