Job Title: Infrastructure Planning Specialist

This role provides technical specialisms that underpin the service management platforms for Enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement technical solutions in an end-to-end engineering function.
  2. Ensure and understand the security posture of the components they are responsible for.
  3. Proactively resolve both service-effecting events and security defects in their specialist area.
  4. Provide uplifts to the platforms that are sympathetic to the operational needs of Enterprise.
  5. Provide reporting and communication for senior management and project delivery, to ensure they are aware of all weekly activities.
Accountabilities:
  1. Assist with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project.
  2. Support a component of a technical project, requiring management of a limited degree of risk or business impact.
  3. Support the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard.
  4. Review own work and peers' outputs to contribute to identify and flag errors or potential issues.
  5. Develop working relationships and communicate with a range of project stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed.
Capabilities Required:
  1. Improvement focus: You question and challenge the way things are done and work with others to make improvements.
  2. Issue management: You research and recommend solutions to resolve routine problems.
  3. Technology excellence: You develop and consider new ways of using technology to meet customer and business needs.
  4. Product and service knowledge: You continuously build your understanding of infrastructure, products, services and complex offerings.
  5. Testing and quality assurance: You perform rigorous, complex testing and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
  6. Give specialised advice: You offer advice and recommendations based on your expertise both proactively and on request.
  7. Is able to develop subject matter expertise in engineering functions such as Service Management, Network Management or Infrastructure Management.
  8. Can work under direction in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects or issues.
  9. Has an understanding of ITIL practices and understands how they apply to IT Service Management platforms.
