Senior Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Health Department for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor. The post holder will provide professional leadership for the delivery of an effective high-quality Occupational Health Service for Powys Teaching Health Board.
Main Duties- Manage and provide specialist OH advice and clinical services to managers and employees of PTHB.
- Provide departmental OH leadership, undertaking all aspects of management for the OH nursing team within their area.
- Monitor standards of OH service, client experience, and safety through robust evaluation and implementation of appropriate action.

Person Specification- Essential qualifications and knowledge include a Registered Nurse level 1, specialist post-registration qualification in Occupational Health nursing, and evidence of professional development.
- Desirable qualifications and knowledge include a managerial qualification, SCPHN (OH)-Part 3 NMC REGISTER, and Health Promotion qualification.
- Essential experience includes significant experience of Occupational Health nursing, extensive post-registration experience, and thorough knowledge of Occupational Health issues.
- Desirable experience includes NHS managerial experience, teaching and assessing, and mentorship skills.
- Essential aptitude and abilities include experience of health surveillance, general management and leadership skills, time management skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desirable aptitude and abilities include clinical audit skills and ability to speak Welsh Level 1 or willingness to work towards.
- Essential values include demonstrating PTHB values.
