Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team at St Barnabas Hospices, providing specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun, and Henfield areas.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment programmes for patients with a focus on maintaining and improving their functional abilities.
  • Working collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive discharge plans and ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Providing clinical support and supervision to junior staff members, promoting effective team working and professional development.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of clinical services and policies.
  • Engaging in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in palliative care and physiotherapy.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in physiotherapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • At least 2 years of post-registration experience in a palliative care setting, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of palliative care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • A commitment to ongoing education and professional development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with best practices in palliative care and physiotherapy.
