Senior Psychiatric Consultant

Location: West Midlands

Compensation: £150,000 - £165,000 (based on experience)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours (with options for flexible arrangements, including remote work)

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Our organization operates a 30-bed facility dedicated to the care of adults aged 18 and above in an acute environment. We are in search of a full-time Senior Psychiatric Consultant to oversee 17 beds within our Acute service.

The primary objective of the facility is to deliver a patient-centered approach within a therapeutic setting, fostering collaborative care planning to enhance treatment outcomes.

This position involves working with both male and female patients. You will serve as the Responsible Clinician, guiding patients from admission through to discharge, supported by a skilled and dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience:

Essential:

Proven experience in inpatient environments dealing with individuals facing significant mental health challenges.

Desirable:

Experience at the Consultant level within the NHS, including the capability to provide training.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Possession of a CCST/CCT or equivalent qualification in relevant psychiatric disciplines.
  • Ongoing registration with the GMC, including inclusion on the special register for Psychiatry.
