This is an exciting opportunity to work in a psychology-led service that offers an alternative to custodial sentences for individuals in the criminal justice system. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the effective management, development, and delivery of psycho-social interventions within the MHTR team. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to ensure the delivery of high-quality and bespoke interventions, using standardized outcome measures.
Role Responsibilities- Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists who facilitate psycho-social interventions with individuals on a Mental Health Treatment Requirement.
- Use your expertise to build on innovative approaches developed within other Turning Point MHTR services, working closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
- Be responsible for the systematic governance of the Leicestershire MHTR service, working alongside operational colleagues.
- Offer practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues, local agencies, and organizations.
We are looking for a candidate with a doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology, and up-to-date registration with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC). You will need proven ability to deliver psychological services, with experience of leading and supervising clinical staff. Experience of working with substance misuse service users is ideal. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to the Recovery Agenda are essential.
