Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Youth Development Specialist. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working within a newly established project to develop and create an effective multi-disciplinary team as part of our support offer to adoptive children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including education, health, and social care professionals, to provide a comprehensive support service to young people and their families.
- Develop and deliver trauma-informed youth work programs, focusing on building resilience and promoting positive outcomes for adoptive children and young people.
- Contribute to the development of the youth offer within our organization, working closely with the Nottinghamshire Youth Service and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the wider role of our strategic MDT group, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across teams.
- Travel throughout the D2N2 local authority area, providing support and services to young people and families in need.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of youth provision and trauma-informed practice, with a commitment to working with adoptive children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and partner agencies.
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and outcomes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training, with a desire to enhance skills and knowledge in youth work and trauma-informed practice.
