This exciting opportunity will see you spearheading the rationalization, restructuring, and migration of thousands of pages of digital content as part of a comprehensive website overhaul.

Role Overview:

Our client is embarking on a significant web transformation program to modernize its online presence. This involves a complete review of their existing website content, user experience (UX), design, content delivery platforms, and governance models. The project aims to launch a new external website in early 2025, powered by a cutting-edge Digital Experience Platform (Optimizely), featuring a refreshed visual identity and a streamlined structure.

As the Digital Content Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in defining the architecture of this new website. You'll also be responsible for establishing robust processes and systems to manage the complex content migration plan, ensuring that technical, financial, and organizational risks are effectively mitigated.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content migration strategy for a large-scale public-facing website.
  • Manage a team of Digital Content Editors to oversee the content migration and copywriting process, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Define a new content publishing model that ensures efficient management and ongoing maintenance of the websites.
  • Develop and implement best practices for content creation, editing, and governance, aligning with brand guidelines and user-centric principles.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure seamless integration of digital content and publishing systems.
Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in digital content strategy, project management, and team leadership. Essential skills include:

  • Extensive experience in delivering large-scale content migration projects for public-facing websites.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of digital content editors.
  • Exceptional written and visual content creation skills, with the ability to review and improve existing copy.
  • Strong understanding of brand guidelines and best practices for tone of voice and messaging.
  • Data-driven approach to content development and website optimization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of web publishing, Content Management Systems (CMS), and digital content workflows.
