Key Responsibilities of the Structural Technical Support Advisor:

  • Providing comprehensive technical assistance for a range of customer inquiries while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Engaging with customers through various communication channels, including email and phone, to address their inquiries and concerns efficiently.
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of a diverse array of technical products, with thorough training provided to ensure expertise.
  • Communicating with clients to clarify their specific technical requirements and drawing specifications, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Delivering informed technical advice and solutions for design-related challenges, tailored to the specific needs of the product line.
  • Recommending suitable product alternatives or necessary modifications to meet technical and functional specifications.
  • Conducting detailed assessments to determine product suitability for intended applications, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation for both internal and external use, ensuring information is accessible and clear.
  • Contributing to project initiatives, including generating innovative ideas for service and product enhancements based on customer feedback and industry trends.
  • Participating in continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and elevate the quality of support provided.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a technical customer support role within engineering, manufacturing, civil engineering, or construction.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, with basic knowledge of CAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
  • Experience in liaising with customers to better understand their design requirements and specifications.
  • Proven capability to acquire technical product knowledge effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for building rapport quickly and maintaining relationships through phone and email interactions.
  • Proficient in IT applications.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360 for creating drawings.
  • Experience in assessing product suitability through calculations.
