Business Solutions Analyst

Hanson Lee is seeking a highly skilled Business Solutions Analyst to join our team. As a Business Solutions Analyst, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between our information technology capacity and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Define Business Analysis Requirements: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business needs and translate them into actionable requirements for new and existing features.
- Write Functional Requirements: Craft clear and concise functional requirements that ensure clarity and unambiguity.
- Analyse and Present Solutions: Conduct thorough analysis and research to present innovative solutions to complex commercial insurance software functions.
- Proactive Attitude: Demonstrate a proactive attitude in assessing needs and forming opinions based on research and prototyping to present intelligent and imaginative solutions to complex problems.
- Relationship Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to optimize and enhance features, functions, and integration with third-party services.
- Implementation Study Documents: Assist in the preparation of implementation study documents and subsequent written output required on the project or programme.
- Business and Technical Issues: Report on common sources of business and technical issues or questions and make recommendations to the product team.
- Liaison with Offshore Teams: Liaise effectively with offshore teams to ensure clarity of functional understanding in the transition to design and build.
- Key Insights and Market Developments: Communicate key insights, market developments, and findings to the product team.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and deliver better value to the customer.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, colleagues across the business, and new and existing customers.
- Minimum 3 Years' Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Business / Systems Analysis or working at an insurance company within the underwriting discipline and following markets/domains:
- General, P&C, Marine, Non-life insurance products in the Lloyd's of London, London Companies Market, UK commercial/wholesale Market, US excess and surplus market
- Mid-market and large commercial non-life insurance carriers
- Strong Experience in Underwriting: Strong experience in areas such as underwriting risk analysis, risk triage, pricing, issuance, operational team management, the full end-to-end insurance lifecycle.
- Proven Experience in Eliciting Requirements: Proven experience in eliciting requirements and profiling different user personas' needs.
- Experience in Analyzing Data: Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions presented as business process diagrams, entity life histories, and user journeys.
- Ability to Work Proactively: Ability to work proactively in researching, learning, and defining creative options and solutions to simple and highly complex business needs.
- Good Experience in Writing Requirements: Good experience in writing requirement specifications based on Agile methodologies that employ the Epic, Feature, User Story approach.
- Proven Experience in Modelling Insurance Processes: Proven experience and knowledge in modelling insurance processes and practices into software features and functions.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills including business and technical writing skills.
- Degree Level Education: Degree level education, where a dissertation or similar research discipline was assessed.
