Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team at Wates, specializing in Responsive Maintenance. This role will be based out of our office, working on one of our social housing contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors, administrators, planners, and operatives to achieve target profit, increase contract turnover, and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of supervisors, administrators, planners, and operatives to ensure effective contract management.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and review customer satisfaction across the contract to identify areas for improvement.
  • Job Scheduling: Ensure that large multi-trade jobs are booked in by the scheduling team and checked for accuracy.
  • Operative Management: Oversee operatives' adherence to company policies, including attendance, mobile phone, driving, no smoking, and alcohol and drugs policies.
  • Commercial Management: Work closely with the Commercial team to identify and rectify invoicing issues affecting contract profit and loss margins.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure Health and Safety compliance in adherence with our Wates Operating Framework.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in managing large Maintenance contracts and a strong background in the Repairs and Maintenance sector.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a large and diverse direct labour organization and Supply Chain.
  • Health and Safety: Full compliance and a proven track record in Health and Safety Management.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven commercial acumen in running large Maintenance contracts.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license.
