Geotechnical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team in York. As a Geotechnical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing ground models and designing structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles, and reinforced soil slopes on a range of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ground movement assessments and train junior members of the team.
  • Develop ground models and design structures using software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile, and WALLAP.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer with a strong understanding of soil mechanics.
  • Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or similar (MSc preferred).
  • Full and clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Commutable to York and the surrounding area.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
