About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join AXIS Capital, a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. As a Senior Facultative Reinsurance Technician, you will play a key role in delivering strategic and forward-looking solutions to drive the company's growth and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and reporting support for facultative reinsurance administration, including ceded premiums, losses, settlements, accounting, and other related activities.
  • Review and interpret facultative certificates to ensure compliance with reinsurance contracts and resulting reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate ceded premium month-end close process, including review and validation of reinsurance transactions with AXIS offshore partner.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure accurate communication and timely response to inquiries.
  • Assist with oversight and training of offshore partner, as well as cash administration, including GL postings and reconciliations.
  • Support departmental compliance with operational controls, including SOX controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Range of 4-7 years' experience in reinsurance operations.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Query.
  • Advanced excel knowledge required.
  • Internationally recognized qualification pursuit or equivalent experience (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) a plus.
  • Retrocession and/or third-party capital industry knowledge with operations and reporting experience a plus.
  • Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems a plus (ProCede and Oracle/SmartView).
