Required Qualifications:

• A degree in English or a related discipline
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential
• Completion of PGCE/Schools Direct
• Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply
• Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience in teaching English at the secondary school level

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement captivating English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students within each class
• Regularly evaluate student progress through assessments, written feedback, and verbal communication
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the department to improve student outcomes
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to support student development
• Engage with the broader school community by participating in extracurricular activities

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
