Job Overview

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with Severfield, the UK's largest specialist structural steelwork group, to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their Nuclear and Infrastructure division.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing team and work on high-value, critical projects for a business that prides itself on quality and innovation.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects, managing variations and changes with customers, and working closely with internal departments to achieve profitable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS, construction industry experience in a commercial role, and strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
  • Managing variations and changes with customers
  • Developing key relations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Working as part of an experienced commercial team

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence, and will have a good understanding of fabrication processes. Experience of managing and delivering variations while retaining repeat business is also desirable.
