Principal Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Development

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Cardiff, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and client requirements.
  2. Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project design and planning.
  3. Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration.
  5. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  6. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Circa 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
  3. Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within budget and timeline.
  4. Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro drainage or Info Drainage, PDS or Causeway Flow.
  5. Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary: £30,000 to £34,000 Per Annum
