Plant Maintenance Specialist

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the CompanyOur client is a world leader in the R+D and Production of specialist metals for industries including Aerospace, Commercial Aerospace, Industrial, and Defence sectors.
Job PurposeThe Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring the Plant Availability, reliability, and effectiveness. This includes identifying future improvements and maintenance requirements, as well as the day-to-day reliability of equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Plant is running safely and effectively
- Develop and implement plans to ensure future reliability of Plant
- Investigate and reduce recurring Plant issues to maximise uptime
- Conduct regular reviews of Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
- Ensure safe working practices through Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS)
- Implement plant and process improvements
- Control and understand Engineering spend
- Ensure sufficient spares to minimise downtime
- Liaise closely with Maintenance and Operations to maximise opportunities during Plant downtime
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes.
They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
