Job Summary:

CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Software Verification Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform project assurance activities for software, focusing on early lifecycle phases to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct critical reviews of design information, providing constructive feedback to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Identify and resolve concerns raised during critical reviews, ensuring the design meets the required standards.
  • Produce independent professional assessments at certification points to support approvals from the Independent Safety Authority and Chief Airworthiness Engineer.
  • Collaborate with project teams and support engineering organizations to generate risk assessments, ensuring suitable justification for actions and the adequacy of proposed remedial/recovery actions.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Experience in safety-critical software development and associated design standards.
  • Ability to critically review design information and provide feedback in a clear and constructive technical language.
  • Collaborative mindset, with strong adaptability, networking, and creative thinking skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with safety standards such as Mil Std 882, ARP4761A.
  • Working knowledge of RTCA DO-178/EUROCAE ED-82 Design Assurance Guidance.
