We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Kier Group, specializing in Civils. As a key member of our Natural Resources Team, you will be responsible for delivering value for money solutions for the Civils elements of work in line with framework requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Construction Phase: Input into all aspects of the pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractor involvement and carrying out pre-work prior to tenders arriving.
- Tender Pricing: Prepare multi-discipline tender pricing with the ability to produce differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
- Client Specifications: Read and understand client specifications and drawings whilst considering site safety, health, quality, and environmental issues.
- Meetings and Site Visits: Attend internal and external review and progress meetings as well as site visits/meetings.
- Project Requirements: Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions, with identification of risk and opportunities.
- Proven Track Record: A proven track record of successfully delivering tenders/pricing of varying size/complexity in the water industry and an ability to manage a portfolio of projects in a framework environment.
- Pre-Construction Experience: Experience of the pre-construction phase of projects to quickly identify risks and opportunities.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organisational and planning skills with a good understanding of clients' requirements and general commercial awareness.
- Construction Experience: Have experience of working on construction projects, preferably in the water industry with good knowledge and experience of the processes and mechanical and electrical assets used within the Water Industry.
