Job Overview

Bay Medical Group is seeking a skilled Digital Officer to join our team. As a Digital Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing prescribing records, ensuring timely action on repeat prescriptions, and synchronizing medication items.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain accurate prescribing records
  2. Action repeat prescriptions on EPS within two working days, where possible
  3. Coordinate requests for Acute/Past Acute Medications
  4. Verify repeat items requested are due for issue
  5. Manage non-repeat prescription requests in line with MMT Protocol/Flow Chart
  6. Add items for Dressings/Nutrition and Ostomy purposes
  7. Synchronize medication items on repeat prescription
  8. Amend medication quantities as necessary
  9. Liaise with local pharmacies
  10. Manage incoming MMT phonelines
  11. Action EMIS Access and Pharmacy emails
  12. Support BMG colleagues with queries
  13. Utilize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for holiday prescriptions
  14. Add queries to the Pharmacy Triage as needed
  15. Check for gaps in issue/medicine compliance following SOPs
  16. Manage Drugs Cabinet for Emergency Trolley/Site use
  17. Communicate effectively with patients via digital and non-digital platforms
