LAC Outreach Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled LAC Outreach Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an LAC Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing educational support and guidance to Looked After Children (LAC) in the East of England.

• Develop and deliver tailored learning programmes to meet the educational needs of LAC.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Liaise with social workers and schools to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve service delivery.

• A relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or BEd.
• Experience working with vulnerable children, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
• Knowledge of the UK education system, including curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks.
• A degree in Education or a related field, such as Psychology or Sociology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.

• Additional training in supporting children with special educational needs, such as autism or ADHD.
• Experience working with LAC, with a strong understanding of their unique needs and challenges.

This role involves working with vulnerable children, and you will be based in Mile End, Essex. You may be required to travel to different locations within the East of England to meet with clients and stakeholders.
