Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring the engineering team to drive productivity and efficiency. They will implement strategic plans to improve maintenance and machinery performance, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the engineering team to achieve business objectives
  • Implement strategic plans to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of machinery and equipment
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the department
  • Manage labour resources (budgets, absences, shift planning etc)
  • Manage stock control
  • Ensure site remains audit ready within Engineering department

Requirements

  • Competence across Electrical and Maintenance Engineering with relevant qualifications
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team
  • Experience working within FMCG manufacturing facility
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Experience working to BRC audit standards
  • Assertiveness and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business

What We Offer

  • An attractive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 annually
  • A total of 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays
