About the Role

AJ Bell is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/Visual Designer to join our UX Team and play a key role in shaping the visual look and feel of our award-winning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level design expertise and take UX responsibility for the visual design of our App.
  • Lead the design process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, including components in a Figma library, to support the creation of UI elements for App/mobile.
  • Contribute to the development of new design guidelines and component libraries.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to inform design decisions and balance user needs, business considerations, and creative goals.
  • Communicate design ideas, rationales, and strategies clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
  • Advocate for UX in the wider business, identifying opportunities to showcase UX through blog posts, workshops, and other initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, contributing to their growth and development.

Requirements

  • Naturally creative and confident in communicating design ideas.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a UX/UI role, with expertise in prototyping software (Figma) and deep understanding of user psychology.
  • Experience in guiding junior members of the team and juggling multiple projects.
  • Expertise in accessibility and ability to inspire and motivate team members.
