Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Veolia WTS. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and servicing chemical feed and water treatment equipment at designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the local technical consultant and liaison with customer management and customer representatives at site
  • Provide service and support to prescribed customer sites
  • Coordinate functions with Area Field Services Lead/Management/Senior FSRs
  • Perform water analysis and/or collect samples for preparation, labelling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis
  • Complete and distribute on-site report based on any work carried out at site
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, instruments and control panels
  • Calibrate feed pumps, conductivity sensors, flow sensors and pH sensors
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on water treatment plant, chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation
  • Keep maintenance records up to date for sites
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, piping, etc.), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysis
  • Relay customer feedback to Field Services, Commercial and/or Technical Department
  • Recommend appropriate site procedural and/or policy changes that will help overall effectiveness
  • Travel to and provide support to/operate Mobile projects if/when necessary
  • Remain on call-out duty if and when required as prescribed by the UKIN team call-out schedules (normally 1 week every 4-5 weeks)
  • Conduct training of customers and other personnel to enable them to operate prescribed BOO/Mobile equipment safely and effectively when FSR is not on site
  • Conduct training of company trainees in the various site technical functions encompassed by the position of Field Service Representative

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in a suitable Science, Engineering or technical discipline preferred or equivalent or have mechanical based experience from apprenticeships or site experience of maintenance
  • Water treatment equipment operation/Maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance experience
  • Full UK driving licence
