Job Overview:

Quest Employment is seeking candidates for the position of Flexi/Bendi Forklift Operative on a temporary basis in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and readiness for immediate commencement when necessary. A basic to proficient level of English in speaking, reading, and writing is essential. As a Forklift Operative, your responsibilities may include various tasks such as packing, sorting, picking, dispatching, labeling, boxing, and palletizing.

Our client is a prominent international manufacturer and distributor specializing in breakfast cereals. They are expanding their operations at a newly established site in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. Shifts are scheduled from 06:00-18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00, following a Panama shift pattern of 2on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2on, 3 off. The facility operates around the clock, providing opportunities for work throughout the week, primarily during weekdays.

Compensation Details:

  • Base rate £12.00 per hour
  • Days - 12 hour shift allowance £0.68 = £12.68 per hour
  • Night - 12 hours shift allowance £2.48 per hour = £14.48 per hour
  • Tx1⁄2 over 48 hours £18.00 per hour
  • Shift allowance applicable only on base hours

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Operating Forklift
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers
  • Packing, verifying, and labeling cereal products
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse and yard area
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Meeting daily productivity targets

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Flexi/Bendi license (from RTITB or ITSSAR)
  • Ability to lift, bend, reach overhead, crouch, and stretch
  • Capable of pushing and pulling weights up to 15kg / Lifting and moving products up to 15kg
  • Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
  • Experience in a warehouse or production setting is preferred but not mandatory
  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Accuracy in task execution
