Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Sterile Service Technician looking to make a difference in healthcare?

About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Sterile Service Technicians. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical instruments used in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute the complete decontamination process for reusable medical devices, adhering to established protocols and standards.
2. Engage in quality assurance activities, ensuring all procedures and documentation are meticulously completed.
3. Disassemble and inspect equipment prior to automated cleaning and disinfection.
4. Ensure all instruments are thoroughly cleaned, reassembled, and functioning properly post-cleaning.
5. Package, seal, and label equipment before sterilization and distribution.
6. Operate washer-disinfectors and autoclaves, maintaining accurate tracking of items throughout the process.

Work Environment:
This position requires reliability and flexibility in working hours, as the service operates continuously. The role can be physically demanding, involving lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Experience in a similar decontamination environment.
- A solid understanding of literacy and numeracy.
- Customer service experience.
- Basic computer skills.

Compensation:
Competitive pay ranging from £16 to £18 per hour.
