Lead the Way in Green Infrastructure Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Natural Environment Planning Advice Team. As the Green Infrastructure Planning Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our environment and driving forward sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of experts in forestry, ecology, and landscape disciplines to ensure an integrated approach to natural environment planning.
  • Develop and manage green infrastructure responses, collaborating with teams to deliver projects that balance environmental priorities with development needs.
  • Create and optimize systems to efficiently prioritize and manage incoming planning requests and development projects.
  • Expand income streams by securing Planning Performance Agreements and fostering direct relationships with developers.
  • Spearhead training initiatives for case officers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure best practices and knowledge-sharing across the board.
  • Oversee and manage contracts and agreements for technical responses, ensuring that service quality and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Partner with internal teams to manage fluctuating workloads, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
  • Work closely with our Nature Recovery Team, National Landscapes, and Coastal Protection Teams to ensure a unified approach to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
