We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at IQE, a leading supplier of compound semiconductor wafer products and advanced material solutions to the global semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality and specification are maintained at the highest standard.
- Reactor Management: Be responsible for multiple MOCVD reactors and products as necessary.
- Customer Support: Work with the Technology and Planning teams to ensure that all customer requirements are met in full, on time and to plan.
- Documentation and Compliance: Generate customer CofCs as necessary and engage in the review of production material prior to shipment.
- Product Release: Inspect all pertinent production and characterisation data and authorise the release of product to the customer.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for issues arising in connection with the operation of the bays.
- Process Improvement: Ensure that technical data (internal/external characterisation, customer feedback) is used in an effective manner.
- Escalation Support: Assist the shift production engineering team in problem-solving activities out of hours.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on product and production-related data (including for customers) as required.
- Reactor Performance Monitoring: Monitor reactor performance, including SPC charts and identify solutions to production problems.
- Yield and Process Improvement: Participate in yield and process improvement programs.
- Compliance and Governance: Adhere to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines and procedures.
- Education and Experience: Graduate in a scientific or engineering discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant semiconductor technology/growth experience.
- Technical Expertise: Previous experience in MOCVD growth experience required, with a focus on InP growth.
- Problem-Solving and Analysis: Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
