Pre-Commissioning Engineer

BES Group is a leading provider of end-to-end risk management solutions in the UK and Ireland. As a Pre-Commissioning Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our customers' assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect in-service dangerous goods tanks and pressure equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Review quality documentation related to materials, welding, and non-destructive testing.
  • Collaborate with our Technical Consultancy Head Office team to ensure effective communication and contract management.
  • Manage and deliver specific projects, as well as assist with the training of our Engineer Surveyors.
  • Ensure customers comply with vital regulations governing their industry in the UK.

  • A minimum standard starting salary of £50,000 depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • A Level 4 engineering qualification and a substantive level of practical experience.
  • Experience of carriage of dangerous goods (CDG/ADR).
  • Considerable experience inspecting new or repaired/modified construction pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks within a manufacturing, pharma, nuclear, shipping, or other relevant environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of welding processes and procedures, weld inspection, and weld defects.
