Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Quality Assurance and Control Supervisor to become a vital part of our team.
This role involves overseeing the maintenance of ISO 9001 certifications and managing the comprehensive quality assurance and control processes within the organization.
Our workshop specializes in the fabrication of hot-rolled structural steel for various applications, including light and heavy industrial structures, portal frames, multi-storey frameworks, baggage handling mezzanines, trusses, modules, pipe racks, and supports.
The responsibilities of the selected candidate will encompass supervising subcontractor fabrication activities, on-site steelwork, cladding operations, client representation, and serving as the primary contact for quality-related matters within the company.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a robust background in welding and fabrication, including experience in welding inspection and documentation, as well as the development of Long-Term Quality Records (LTQRs) and the review of quality packs, with a minimum of six years in the structural steelwork sector.
The candidate must be capable of representing the organization in client quality meetings, which includes establishing the framework for quality documentation prior to project initiation and collaborating closely with client project quality teams to foster strong working relationships.
Understanding the resolution and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), both internal and external, as well as issuing Notifications of Inspection (NOIs) for client inspections at our fabrication facility, is essential.
Experience in welder testing and a solid understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is required, along with the ability to review relevant codes and standards applicable to the company.
The role also involves conducting audits at external fabrication facilities (subcontractors) and providing guidance to site teams on quality-related issues, assisting in the preparation of site packs in collaboration with clients and our site teams.
Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate a proven track record in quality management.
