We are seeking a highly skilled 3D CAD Draughtsperson to join our team at BE Engineering Ltd. As a leading provider of engineering and manufacturing services, we are looking for a talented individual to work with us on a variety of projects across the architectural metalwork and structural steelwork sectors.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D CAD designs using Tekla software, working closely with our design team to deliver projects on time and to the required standard. Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing GA and fabrication packages on Tekla software.
- General design office duties.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Working efficiently to agreed programme dates.
- Assisting with deciding best practice for manufacturing and installation procedures.
- Reviewing and understanding design information supplied and raising technical queries / RFi's.
- Issuing fabrication and site packs via email / printed format (when required).
- Undertaking site surveys / attending design meetings (transport provided).
- Ensuring work undertaken complies with estimates, relevant regulations, specification, and company policies.
- Working in a collaborative environment and being a valued team member.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Fully skilled in the use of Tekla 3D Steelwork detailing software.
- Substantial experience in the architectural metalwork industry in the UK.
- Ability to take instructions and work on own initiative to achieve them.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of UK construction standards and building regulations.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Other computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience: Word / Excel / Outlook.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems.
- Finding practical and innovative solutions to design problems.
