About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to train as a Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) while working with Ormiston Families as part of the Supporting Smiles Team in Norfolk. As a Trainee CWP, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop your skills in delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver outcome-focused interventions to children and young people under supervision.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, and families to support them in managing their mental health.
  • Develop plans for interventions and agreed outcomes with children, young people, and families.
  • Support and empower children, young people, and families to make informed choices about their mental health.
  • Contribute to networking and building relationships with community groups and organizations to improve access to psychological support.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related subject, or relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship.
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people.
  • Ability to study as a self-motivated learner and implement training with appropriate support.
  • High standards in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to personally manage a sensitive and emotionally distressing caseload.
