Premier Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical design and engineering, contributing to the development of specialized equipment across various sectors.

Key Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a comparable mechanical engineering role
• Relevant qualifications such as a Degree, HNC, HND, BTEC, or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficient in manufacturing techniques including sheet metal work, fabrication, welding, and machining
• Expertise in 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo
• Familiarity with diverse materials, including sheet metal and injection-molded plastics
• Strong theoretical understanding of mechanical engineering principles and precision tolerances
• Competent in using MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the product portfolio, ensuring documentation is maintained and driving continuous improvement
• Utilize CAD for conceptual design and generate technical drawings
• Design components for welded and fabricated sheet metal assemblies
• Develop component and assembly models to meet client specifications
• Participate in the final assembly of products
• Prepare necessary design documentation along with project reports and plans
• Update 3D models and drawings as required
• Collaborate with a small, multidisciplinary team on diverse projects
