Role of Learning Difficulties and Challenging Behaviour Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Learning Difficulties and Challenging Behaviour Lead. As a key member of our NL Group team, you will be responsible for providing leadership to our LD team, ensuring safe service delivery, and promoting the welfare of all LD service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily leadership to the LD team, reviewing workforce schedules to ensure safe service delivery.
  • Monitor daily performance of the LD team to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
  • Evaluate the LD service's goals and quality objectives, providing strategic and responsive insight.
  • Develop lasting relationships with social workers and commissioners, building on the reputation of NL Group as the first port of call for their service user care requirements.
  • Ensure staff working on the LD contingent workforce have the appropriate level of training, including practical face-to-face training.
  • Work within the regulatory requirements of the CQC, striving to exceed quality statements and outcomes in collaboration with the NL Group Registered Manager.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Candidates should possess NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience of care planning and organising.
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a 40-hour shift pattern, Monday to Friday. The successful individual will be part of an on-call weekly rota. As a safeguarding-focused organisation, we have policies and procedures in place to promote safeguarding and safer working practices, and all new team members undergo a safer recruitment process, including disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks.
