Job Title: Project Specification Manager - Exterior Lighting

Are you a skilled sales professional looking for a new challenge in the construction industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Specification Manager - Exterior Lighting to join our team at CV Library.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Project Specification Manager - Exterior Lighting. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating specifications with electrical consultants, M&E consultants, landscape architects, and specifiers, as well as selling to and dealing directly with main contractors and electrical contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field sales position selling a manufactured range of exterior lighting products
  • 60% of your time will be spent generating specifications with electrical consultants, M&E consultants, landscape architects, and specifiers
  • The remaining 40% of the time will be spent selling to and dealing directly with main contractors and electrical contractors
  • Inheriting an area with a modest £250,000 turnover
  • Tasked with growing the patch to £500,000 in the first year
  • Typical projects £10,000-£20,000, but up to £50,000
  • 50% account management, 50% new business

Requirements:

  • Ideally with electrical specification experience
  • Exterior lighting knowledge not essential, open to various electrical product backgrounds
  • Ideally electrical consultant relationships
  • May consider a senior electrical wholesale field sales background with strong relationships on patch with electrical contractors
  • Personable, team player, people person, driven, and enthusiastic
