Job Opportunity

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the technical viability of the project works, (or part of the project works). Participate in the health and safety, quality, environmental and commercial management of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain excellent and effective working relationships with clients and their representatives/advisors;
  2. Implement Intereserve Construction's strategy and policies for sustainability, health and safety, quality, environmental, training and development, etc. and act as an exemplar of the company culture and values;
  3. Implement the company's business management system;
  4. Be proactive in identifying and resolving problems;
  5. Support initiatives to deliver ongoing continuous improvement;
  6. Line management responsibilities, including the undertaking of annual appraisals and development for junior members of staff;
  7. Ensure that project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings, etc. and maintain appropriate records to confirm such compliance;
  8. Any other duties relevant to the role.

Requirements

  1. Appropriate technical knowledge and main contractor construction experience;
  2. Degree (or similar equivalent) in a relevant construction subject (essential);
  3. Safety Level 1 course;
  4. Appropriate CSCS Card;
  5. Comprehensive experience as a Site Engineer working for a main contractor (essential);
  6. Experience as a Graduate or Trainee Site Engineer;
  7. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  8. Ability to use own initiative;
  9. Problem-solving skills;
  10. Ability to plan and manage time;
  11. Strong attention to detail.
