Job Summary:

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Category Specialist to join our team. As a Category Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Direct Procurement Team and working closely with Category Managers to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Conduct thorough research to identify new suppliers and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to meet business needs.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
  • Category Management: Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements and address any issues promptly to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team colleagues to ensure product availability meets production schedules, driving business growth and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience working in a similar purchasing or procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Category Management: Experience in managing categories is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic, motivated, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workloads effectively.
