Family Caregiver Wanted for 6 Month Old Baby

We are a family from Launceston seeking a reliable and caring individual to assist with childcare tasks for our 6 month old baby. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare, enjoy playing with babies, and be willing to attend events with the baby during the day. Light housework duties, such as cleaning up after the baby and basic washing, are also required. We are open to an Au Pair who speaks a different language as their first language, but strong English skills are essential for communication with our family. A long-term agreement of at least 3-6 months is preferred, with the option to extend if mutually agreed upon. This is a new experience for us, and we are looking for someone who will provide the same level of care and love as we would for our baby. The role is not live-in, but we have space available for a live-in Au Pair if desired.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with childcare tasks, including feeding, bathing, and playing with the baby
  • Attend events with the baby during the day, such as outings and playdates
  • Perform light housework duties, such as cleaning up after the baby and basic washing
  • Communicate effectively with our family to ensure the baby's needs are met
Requirements:
  • Experience in childcare, preferably with infants
  • Strong English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with our family
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to providing high-quality care for our baby
