Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountancy Practice Manager to oversee practice operations, manage client relationships, and support our team alongside the directors of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice.
- Implement and maintain efficient workflows and processes alongside directors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations alongside directors.
- Manage and coordinate the work of junior accountants and administrative staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Handle client queries and provide expert advice.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and grow client relationships and business opportunities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts, corporate tax returns, VAT returns, self-assessment tax returns etc.
- Monitor the firm's financial performance and report to senior management alongside directors.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning for the practice alongside directors.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Provide training and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Encourage a balanced workload and manage deadlines effectively.
- Promote a supportive and flexible working environment.
- Implement initiatives to improve employee wellbeing.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations.
- Strong knowledge of UK regulations in relation to practice (AML, Bribery etc.).
- Excellent management and leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
