Position Overview:
RTL Group Ltd is seeking a skilled engineer to oversee operations on a marine civil engineering project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating project strategies, timelines, and construction techniques for marine civil engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project leaders, architects, and subcontractors to ensure engineering tasks align with project goals and schedules.
  • Engage in pre-construction discussions and site evaluations to assess project needs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Manage daily construction operations on-site, including earthworks, dredging, piling, and marine structural installations.
  • Supervise subcontractors, equipment operators, and laborers to guarantee work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor site advancement, productivity, and quality to pinpoint areas for enhancement and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality assurance checks to confirm compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Document and report any non-conformances, defects, and corrective measures to uphold project quality and safety benchmarks.
  • Implement quality management strategies and protocols to reduce rework and ensure project outcomes meet client expectations.
  • Interpret engineering designs, plans, and specifications to clarify requirements and address inconsistencies.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to marine civil engineering projects.
  • Identify and report HSE hazards, risks, and incidents to maintain a safe working environment for all project participants.
  • Oversee the procurement, delivery, and inventory management of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for construction activities.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams and suppliers to resolve issues related to material quality, availability, and delivery timelines.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders to communicate project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Document construction delays, variations, and change orders to support claims management and dispute resolution processes.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and local communities, to address concerns and ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and subcontractors to provide updates on site activities, schedules, and resource needs.

Professional Development:
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in marine civil engineering and construction management. Participate in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
