Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate tax returns and P11Ds.
  • Prepare and process tax returns and P11Ds from client-provided information, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Calculate and advise on tax liabilities and payment due dates, providing clear and concise guidance to clients.
  • Assist clients with queries and provide ad-hoc advice, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Billing personal portfolio clients upon completion of work, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Handle client correspondence, phone calls, and meetings, providing a high level of customer service.
  • Support partners and staff with technical tax queries, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
  • Assist junior team members as needed, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Prepare technical reports related to income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, showcasing your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deal with HMRC correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Provide general support to the tax team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in a private client tax team, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Ideal ATT qualification, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality tax advice.
  • Self-starter with high resilience and attention to detail, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to learn new technology quickly and adapt to changing systems.
  • Positive, proactive, and commercial mindset, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
