About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repairs Manager to join our team at Bromsgrove District Housing Trust. As a Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of qualified gas engineers, multi-skilled trades operatives, and a gas scheduler to deliver our domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs, including a gas out-of-hours service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage a team of qualified gas engineers, multi-skilled trades operatives, and a gas scheduler.
- Take responsibility for decision-making and the operational management of the team.
- Deliver bdht's domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs, including a gas out-of-hours service.
- Maintain high standards of customer care and communicate effectively with our diverse customer base.
- Adhere to bdht's safe systems of work and carry out all duties with a working knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Produce and validate the annual gas servicing program and schedule appointments using our housing management system.
- Ensure the stock condition database is kept up to date.
- Provide written reports to the Senior Management Group and maintain statistical records for reporting.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for providing excellent customer service, tailored to meet the needs of a diverse client base. You will have experience working within a gas delivery service, ideally within the social housing sector, and an understanding of gas compliance responsibilities. You will need to hold a gas management qualification (NVQ level 3 in gas management or similar) or be willing to achieve this within the first 2 years. You will also need to hold the following Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT CKR1, HRT1.
