Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Man Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing OpenStack private clouds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage OpenStack private clouds to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize OpenStack environments to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Implement and maintain automation tools for cloud provisioning and management using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards, including regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OpenStack with other services and ensure seamless communication.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, including training and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up to date with new developments in the cloud computing field, including emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • OpenStack experience on premise, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Ansible Kolla experience, with the ability to design and implement automation workflows.
  • Linux administration experience, with a strong understanding of system security and compliance.
  • Proficient with Python scripting and automation, with experience in cloud provisioning and management.
  • Experience with managing and scaling hypervisor technologies at an enterprise level, including VMware and KVM.
  • Strong understanding of Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC), with experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with enterprise hardware in the datacenter, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Participate in an on-call support rota, with the ability to respond to technical issues outside of regular working hours.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in OpenStack, Ansible, or Terraform, with a strong understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and design.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with a strong understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Grafana & Prometheus, with a strong understanding of monitoring and logging in cloud environments.
