Job Description

**About Armakuni**

We are a team of highly experienced software engineers who help complex organisations create high-performing software teams, allowing them to accelerate the delivery of business outcomes whilst driving behavioural change through coaching, training and pair programming.

We're working with a leading engineering and robotics business, supporting their early careers programme by providing technical training and support to a cohort of apprentices as they embark on their software engineering careers.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be leading the delivery of an existing training programme, equipping the apprentices with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully embark on their new careers. The apprentices joining this programme will, for the most part, be starting their first professional role - so not only will you be acting as the expert and trainer, but also a coach and mentor as you help them to navigate the world of work, and their new employer.

  • Delivering classes and workshops using pre-developed training material
  • Acting as a mentor and coach to the cohort, both as a group and one on one
  • Working closely with engineering leaders to align on priorities, and to integrate the cohort with the production teams
  • And of course, you will be their technical expert and adviser on all things software engineering

Key Areas of Focus:

The training programme will cover a range of key areas, including:

  • C# language and development
  • Azure DevOps and cloud computing
  • Code management and version control
  • Git and collaborative development
  • Object-oriented programming and design
  • Basic testing and quality assurance

What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in software engineering, with a particular focus on C# and Azure, along with a clear passion for training, developing and mentoring others.
