The NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join their team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of the Older Adults Directorate at UHH.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective operational plans to achieve service goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality clinical services and non-clinical support functions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Hospital Services to develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery.
- Provide managerial input to the Division's strategic structure and develop future clinical strategy via the Division's Clinical Groupings.
- Work on a range of Service specific and NHSL wide issues, directed by the Director of Hospital Services.
- Postgraduate/masters degree level or equivalent experience, preferably with an MBA or MSc management qualification.
- Demonstrable senior managerial experience with recent evidence of effectively implementing organisational changes and evidence of effective resource management.
- Proven track record of staff management, leadership and motivation through cohesive and effective team working.
- Ability to create an atmosphere of trust and co-operation during a period of rapid and complex change.
- Extensive knowledge of the NHS in Scotland and its organisations, its policies and its strategic goals.
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service.
- A minimum of 8 days of public holidays.
