Public Sector Employment Lawyer Opportunity

Venn Group's specialist legal team is currently working with a Public Sector Organisation to recruit an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their department.

This assignment will be for a duration of 6 months with the strong possibility of extension. The role will require hybrid working and attendance when required for Employment Tribunals in the region. This assignment is ideal for a full-time candidate, however, may also consider candidates that can work on a part-time basis providing they have the necessary experience.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with an excellent knowledge of Employment matters. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the Public Sector, including Local Authorities and the Police. They will also have experience dealing with claims related to race or sex discrimination.

An hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is on offer for this position, dependent on the experience level of each individual candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert Employment Law advice to the Public Sector Organisation
  • Representing the organisation in Employment Tribunals
  • Developing and implementing Employment Law policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with Employment Law regulations

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Employment Law and regulations
  • Prior experience working within the Public Sector
  • Experience dealing with claims related to race or sex discrimination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
