The position is based at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, however the post holder will work when required at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. We would expect you to have: a good knowledge of nuclear medicine technology and the processes involved in nuclear medicine; good knowledge of health and safety in nuclear medicine; The ideal candidate will also have experience leading a nuclear medicine service and managing staff. The successful appointee will be an integral part of the local Nuclear Medicine team which includes clinical scientists, clinical technologists, nursing and administrative staff. You should have a degree or equivalent qualification with significant nuclear medicine experience and be on or eligible to join the Register of Clinical Technologists or registered as a Radiographer with the HCPC.   • Appropriate post-graduate degree at master's level or equivalent level of specialist knowledge. \t
  • Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification \t
  • Registered Clinical Technologist or Radiographer \t
  • Core IT skills or equivalent \
Experience

  • Experience of working in Nuclear Medicine involving imaging, non-imaging and therapy procedures \t
  • Evidence of continuing professional development \t
  • Experience of managing a team of individuals. \t
  • Experience of working within the NHS \
