Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEND Support

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: Twickenham

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our team at Education Matters Group. As a Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be working closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) to provide individualized support and facilitate their inclusion in mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Work collaboratively with the main class teacher and senior TA to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist students with ASD in a supported inclusion setting, providing additional support and accommodations as needed
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a mainstream school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support and services to students with SEN
